Hammers are a Resource and the main tool of the Stone Age. They are available from the start of the game.
Hammers are used to construct a variety of buildings throughout all ages. Because of their use in the construction of many early game buildings, Hammers may become an early-game bottleneck for players in Climates with few Gravel tiles, such as the Oceanic climate.
Hammers are produced by the Tool maker and require Flint, Copper, Bronze, Iron or Steel. Due to the relative low cost and high abundance of Flint, using other materials to produce Hammers is not advised, as the cost will likely be higher.
